While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

Na'eem: No progress in Gaza ceasefire negotiations

Thursday 15-May-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

Basim Na'eem, a member of the 'Hamas political bureau, confirmed that no progress had been made in the ceasefire negotiations in the Gaza Strip, noting that the Israeli delegation that arrived in Doha had not presented anything new and that the mediators had conveyed to 'Hamas a previous Israeli offer which had been already rejected by the Palestinian Resistance Movement.

In a press statement on Thursday, Na'eem stressed that Hamas has confirmed its readiness to cooperate to end the war and engage in a political process leading to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, expressing the Movement’s willingness to relinquish the government and immediately hand over the administration of Gaza to any agreed upon Palestinian body.

He pointed to the need to force Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to open the crossings and allow humanitarian aid into Gaza in order to create a constructive negotiating environment, warning that the continuation of the siege would deepen the catastrophe and undermine the chances for a political solution.

Coinciding with US President Donald Trump’s visit to the Middle East, ceasefire negotiations are witnessing intense activity by mediators in Qatar and Egypt, with US participation.

The Israeli negotiating delegation, headed by deputy head of Israeli General Security Service (Shin Bet), is continuing its talks in Qatar, accompanied by US envoy Steve Witkoff and the US administration’s official responsible for prisoners and missing persons, Adam Boehler, according to a Yedioth Ahronoth report on Wednesday evening.

This came after 'Hamas released Edan Alexander, a dual United States-Israeli national and soldier, following contacts with Washington as part of efforts to achieve a ceasefire.

'Hamas has repeatedly affirmed its readiness to begin comprehensive negotiations for the release of Israeli captives in one batch in exchange for an end to the genocide, the withdrawal of the occupation army, and the release of Palestinian prisoners.

However, Netanyahu is evading these demands by imposing new conditions to serve his own political interests, particularly remaining in power, according to accusations by the families of Israeli prisoners and the opposition.

Qatar’s Prime Minister: Israel’s attacks in Gaza confirm its lack of interest in negotiations

Thursday 15-May-2025

DOHA, (PIC)

The Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Al-Shaikh Mu'hammed Bin Abdul Ra'hman Al-Thani said that Israel responded to peace efforts by launching more deadly airstrikes on the Gaza Strip.

In an interview with CNN, coinciding with Qatar’s reception of U.S. President Donald Trump and hosting a new round of negotiations on a ceasefire in Gaza on Wednesday, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman said that Israel’s attacks in the Gaza Strip this week confirm its lack of interest in truce negotiations.

He considered the progress made in the release of American citizen Edan Alexander as a breakthrough for renegotiations, expressing regret that Israel responded to this progress “with heavy bombardment while sending the delegation” to negotiate in Doha.

He emphasized that the reason for the conflict between Israel and the countries in the region is “the occupation of Palestinian and Syrian territories.”

He viewed Israel’s statement that it will negotiate without ending the war as a sign of its disinterest in reaching a settlement. He said, “We expressed our concern to the Israelis and informed them of the need to engage in meaningful negotiations.”

He added, “We hope to see progress, but I am not sure it will happen soon given the Israeli behavior.”

He stressed that “the solution is difficult in the Gaza Strip unless the parties are willing to engage in meaningful negotiations.”

On the humanitarian side, the Qatari Prime Minister stated that “there is no need for another plan for Gaza and the United Nations should be allowed to deliver aid.”

He clarified that Qatar has not received any American humanitarian plan for the Gaza Strip, “and all we have heard are media reports.”

He emphasized the necessity of protecting the United Nations and enabling it to provide assistance in the Gaza Strip.

'Hamas: Netanyahu undermining mediators’ efforts, seeks endless war

Thursday 15-May-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

'Hamas has accused the Israeli government of undermining international mediation efforts to end what it describes as a war of extermination in Gaza, by escalating military pressure on innocent civilians through widespread bombardment and increasing collective suffering—a desperate attempt, the group says, to impose conditions through force.

In a statement issued on Thursday, 'Hamas stressed that the Israeli government’s insistence on negotiating without halting its aggression, along with its dismissive signals toward mediators, reveals the criminal mindset of the occupation, which views truces merely as tools to buy time and resume war.

“The world is looking for an end to this war,” the statement read. “The goal of the negotiation process is clear and unwavering: a complete cessation of aggression, a full end to the war, the withdrawal of occupation forces from Gaza, and the release of all prisoners.”

Hamas accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of deliberately prolonging the war: “Netanyahu wants an endless war. He does not care about the fate of his captives—he is the last person concerned with their lives or return. His obsession with destruction and death poses a danger not only to the Palestinian people but to the entire region and the world.”

On Monday, as a gesture of goodwill, Hamas released Israeli-American captive Edan Alexander, following communications with the US administration as part of mediation efforts to reach a ceasefire, reopen border crossings, and allow humanitarian aid and relief into Gaza.

'Hamas reiterated its readiness to enter negotiations aimed at reaching a comprehensive agreement, including Israeli withdrawal from Gaza, ending the blockade, a prisoner exchange, and launching reconstruction efforts.

Since 2 March 2025, Israel has closed all Gaza border crossings to humanitarian, medical, and relief aid, leading to what multiple international, governmental, and human rights reports describe as a catastrophic deterioration in the humanitarian situation.

The first phase of a ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement—reached between Hamas and Israel and implemented on 19 January 2025—collapsed after Israel refused to begin the second phase. On 18 March, Israel resumed what Hamas and many observers describe as a campaign of genocide.

With unwavering support from the United States, Israel has, since 7 October 2023, carried out a war on Gaza that has left over 172,000 Palestinians killed or wounded, most of them children and women, with more than 11,000 people still missing, according to health officials and human rights groups.

Human Rights Watch: Latest Israeli plan for Gaza inches closer to extermination

BEIRUT, May 15, 2025 (WAFA) –

The Israeli government’s plan to demolish what remains of Gaza’s civilian infrastructure and concentrate the Palestinian population into a tiny area would amount to an abhorrent escalation of its ongoing crimes against humanity, ethnic cleansing, and acts of genocide, Human Rights Watch said today.

“Hearing Israeli officials flaunt plans to squeeze Gaza’s 2 million people into an even tinier area while making the rest of the land uninhabitable should be treated like a five-alarm fire in London, Brussels, Paris, and Washington,” said Federico Borello, interim executive director of Human Rights Watch. “Israel’s blockade has transcended military tactics to become a tool of extermination.”

The United Nations has warned that Gaza is facing its worst humanitarian crisis since the beginning of hostilities. The world’s foremost experts on food insecurity, the Integrated Phase Classification (IPC), said on May 12 that there is a “high risk” that famine will occur in Gaza in the coming weeks, with one in five people likely to face starvation.

The World Health Organization said on May 11 that Gaza is experiencing “one of the world’s worst hunger crises, unfolding in real time,” citing a Ministry of Health report that at least 57 children have died from malnutrition in Gaza since the blockade began.

According to the Israeli government, 58 Israeli hostages are still believed to be held in Gaza, of whom 23 are believed alive. Palestinian armed groups should immediately and safely release all civilians they detain, just as Israeli authorities should immediately and safely release all unlawfully held Palestinians.

In early May, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s security cabinet approved a plan dubbed “Gideon’s Chariots,” which it says could start as soon as US President Donald Trump’s visit to the region concludes on May 16. The plan involves forcibly displacing much of the Palestinian population of Gaza while seizing and occupying the territory.

“States that are party to the Genocide Convention committed themselves not just to punish genocide, but also to prevent it from taking place,” Borello said. “Failing to act to stop Israeli authorities from starving civilians in Gaza and further rendering it unlivable flies in the face of the very purpose of the convention.”

Doctors Without Borders: Israel deliberately causing humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza

LONDON, May 15, 2025 (WAFA) –

The international medical organization Doctors Without Borders (Médecins Sans Frontières - MSF) has accused Israel, the occupying power, of deliberately creating a humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip.

In a statement published Thursday on its official website, MSF warned that "conditions are being set for the annihilation of Palestinians in Gaza," describing the territory as "hell on earth for Palestinians."

The organization highlighted a 32% increase in the number of patients suffering from malnutrition over the past two weeks, as observed by its field medical teams.

"The few remaining operational health facilities—already suffering from severe shortages in capacity and staff—continue to be attacked," MSF stated. "These facilities are rapidly running out of medicines and other essential supplies."

MSF further noted that its teams in Gaza have not received any medical supplies for the past 11 weeks and are now facing critical shortages of basic materials such as gauze and sterile gloves.

Three Gaza detainees announced dead in Israeli prisons, rights groups call for international probe

RAMALLAH, May 15, 2025 (WAFA) –

Palestinian prisoner support organizations announced today the deaths of three Palestinian detainees from the Gaza Strip while in Israeli custody, raising renewed concerns over the mistreatment of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli detention camps and calls for international accountability.

The three men were identified as Ayman Abdul Hadi Qudai'h, 56, Bilal Talal Salama, 24, and Mohammad Ismail Al-Astal, 46. Their deaths were confirmed in responses sent by the Israeli military to Palestinian human rights organizations, which provided only the dates of death without further details regarding the circumstances.

The organizations – the Commission for Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs, the Palestinian Prisoners Society, and Al-Dhameer Association for Human Rights – condemned the deaths as part of a broader pattern of systemic abuse.

"These deaths are another addition to the record of atrocities committed by the Israeli system, which continues to carry out organized crimes against detainees, amounting to acts of ongoing genocide," the groups said in a joint statement.

They emphasized that the plight of Palestinian detainees from Gaza has revealed "unprecedented levels of violence and atrocities," including reports of torture, starvation, medical neglect, and sexual abuse. According to the organizations, testimonies from Gaza detainees in recent months have been among the most harrowing, detailing a "moment-by-moment" experience of abuse.

The statement criticized the Israeli military for its lack of transparency, noting that it often provides inconsistent or delayed information about detainees' fates. In some cases, organizations have been forced to go to court to obtain basic details.

Qudai'h was reportedly detained in October 2023, and died just five days later. Salama was detained in March 2024 while fleeing Khan Younus and died on August 11, 2024. Al-Astal was detained on February 7, 2024, and died on May 2, 2025.

The latest deaths bring the known number of Palestinian detainees who have died since the onset of the ongoing Israeli genocide to 69, including 44 from Gaza. Since 1967, 306 prisoners with known identities have died in Israeli custody, according to the groups.

The organizations accused Israel of carrying out systematic "slow killing" practices in its detention facilities, citing the spread of disease – such as scabies – as a method of torture and neglect. They stated that medical negligence, torture, and starvation are central causes behind the rising death toll.

Holding Israel fully responsible for the deaths, the organizations renewed their call for an independent international investigation into the deaths of dozens of detainees, and for the international community to take effective measures to hold Israeli leaders accountable.

They called on the international human rights system to reclaim its role and end the exceptional impunity enjoyed by Israel, which, they said, has so far been shielded from meaningful accountability despite ongoing war crimes.

PCMFD: Targeting rescue teams deepens the tragedy of the missing in Gaza

Thursday 15-May-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The Palestinian Center for the Missing and Forcibly Disappeared (PCMFD) has warned that the continued targeting of ambulance and civil defense crews by Israeli occupation forces, along with the obstruction of rescue efforts, will exacerbate the tragedy of the missing by registering new cases and thwarting attempts to address this humanitarian issue.

In a statement on Thursday, the Center reported that it has documented dozens of direct and indirect airstrikes targeting ambulance crews and civil defense centers, resulting in the deaths and injuries of hundreds of field workers, alongside widespread destruction of vehicles, equipment, and operational facilities.

It noted that one of the latest crimes involved Israeli aircraft targeting civil defense crews while they were searching for survivors under the rubble east of Khan Younus, injuring several of them. Additionally, a bulldozer was targeted while attempting to search for missing persons around the European Gaza Hospital, following intense airstrikes over the past two days that resulted in the deaths of 35 citizens and the injury and disappearance of dozens more.

PCMFD confirmed that the occupation army deliberately targets operational areas during rescue attempts or prevents teams from accessing these areas, leading to a significant increase in the number of victims and missing persons, compounding the suffering of families who are unaware of the fate of their loved ones.

It emphasized that targeting the few remaining crews and equipment is a recurring Israeli tactic aimed at deepening the tragedy of the missing, whose numbers have exceeded 10,000 cases to date.

The Center indicated that its field team has documented over 19 months of Israeli aggression the disappearance of thousands of Palestinian civilians, particularly in areas subjected to ground incursions and complete communication blackouts, amid strong indications of arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance, and extrajudicial killings. The occupation authorities deliberately withhold information and deny families of the missing any communication or knowledge about the fate of their loved ones.

It called for urgent action from the United Nations to activate its relevant mechanisms to open an immediate and independent international investigation into these serious violations and to obligate Israel not to obstruct rescue efforts.

It stressed that enforced disappearance constitutes a crime against humanity under international law and cannot be ignored or taken lightly in pursuing its perpetrators.

The Center reiterated its call for the international community to pressure Israel to facilitate the entry of necessary equipment to search for the missing under the rubble and to refrain from obstructing their search efforts, in addition to activating the mandate of the UN Committee on Enforced Disappearances and obligating Israel to disclose the fate of those detained and disappeared during the military aggression in Gaza.

It demanded that the issue of Palestinian missing persons be included in the work of the Human Rights Council and the United Nations General Assembly as an urgent humanitarian file requiring immediate international action.

PCMFD noted that thousands of families in Gaza continue to endure the hell of painful waiting, amid the absence of any effective international entity tracking the fate of the missing and disappeared, emphasizing the need to break the silence and act before it is too late.

The sources confirmed that the occupation forces bombed a house near the Rafah garage belonging to the La'h-'ham family, and a house on Abu Khatir Street near the Islamic University east of Khan Younus. They also bombed a house belonging to the Al-Zaytani family near Al-Najjar carpentry shop at the entrance to 'Hamad City, north of Khan Younus.

Gaza European Hospital is out of service due to ongoing shelling, says medical sources

GAZA, May 15, 2025 (WAFA) –

Medical sources reported that the Gaza European Hospital in Khan Younus, south of the Gaza Strip, was put out of service as a result of recent and ongoing Israeli attacks on the hospital.

The ongoing bombardment caused significant damage to the infrastructure, including sewage lines and internal departments. According to local sources,  the occupation forces destroyed the roads leading to the hospital.

They emphasized that the repeated targeting of the hospital makes it impossible to provide medical care due to the danger it poses to medical staff, the wounded, and patients.

The hospital's closure means the cessation of specialized services such as neurosurgery, thoracic surgery, a cardiac catheterization center, cardiovascular surgery, and ophthalmology, which are only available at the European Hospital.

The medical sources indicated that the Gaza European Hospital is the only hospital providing medical follow-up for cancer patients in the Gaza Strip, following the destruction of the Turkish Friendship Hospital. This means that cancer patients are deprived of their treatment protocols and their health conditions are further exacerbated.

The hospital includes 28 intensive care beds, 12 incubators, 260 hospital beds, 25 emergency beds, and 60 oncology beds, all of which are currently out of service.

Medical sources confirmed that premature infants in the incubators of Gaza Strip hospitals are facing catastrophic conditions due to malnutrition and the blockade. These conditions have significantly increased the rate of premature births, with most newborns now suffering from health complications.

The sources explained that the intensive care units for premature infants lack incubators, respirators, and oxygen supplies, amidst the enormous pressure they are under. They noted that these units operate on generators that are threatened with shutdown due to the severe diesel shortage.

They warned that children in the incubators are at grave risk due to the frequent power outages, which could lead to serious complications or even death.

Medical sources called on humanitarian agencies and health organizations to intervene immediately to provide the necessary medical equipment, fuel, generators, milk, and nutritional supplements, and to support medical delegations.

Several killed, including women, in Israeli airstrikes across Gaza

GAZA, May 15, 2025 (WAFA) –

Several Palestinian civilians, including women, were killed on Thursday evening in Israeli airstrikes that targeted homes and tents sheltering displaced families across the Gaza Strip.

According to WAFA correspondents on the ground, 32-year-old Mu'hammed Khalid Al-Hams and his 28-year-old wife Basant Naji Al-Hams were killed when Israeli warplanes bombed a tent sheltering displaced people in the Tiberias camp area of Al-Mawasi, west of Khan Younus in southern Gaza.

The couple was pulled from the wreckage by emergency crews and transported to Kuwait Specialized Field Hospital. Several others were wounded, many critically.

In another airstrike, three more Palestinians were killed, and dozens were injured when a residential home belonging to the Al-Agha family in the town of Al-Qarara, north of Khan Younis, was struck.

Further north, two people were killed and others, including children, were injured in a strike on a home in the Al-'Amoudi area of northern Gaza City.

The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 2023 has so far resulted in at least 52,928 documented Palestinian fatalities, with over 119,846 others injured.

Thousands of victims are feared trapped under rubble, inaccessible to emergency and civil defense teams due to Israeli attacks.

Israel's genocidal attacks continue unabated despite calls from the UN Security Council for an immediate ceasefire and directives from the International Court of Justice urging measures to prevent genocide and alleviate the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.

Israeli airstrike on Khan Younus kills several Palestinians, injuries others

GAZA, May 15, 2025 (WAFA) –

An Israeli airstrike on Thursday evening killed several Palestinians and injured others in the Al-Qarara town, north of Khan Younus in the southern Gaza Strip, according to WAFA correspondent.

He said that Israeli fighter jets targeted the Abu Lehya's house in the town, claiming the lives of three members of the family.

The fighter jets conducted another strike that targeted another house in the same town, killing a man along with his wife.

Meanwhile, an Israeli combat drone targeted a tent sheltering displaced people near Bait Lahya Club in the northern enclave, at a time when another airstrike targeted Qaa' Al-Qurain area, southeast of Khan Younus.

Israel unilaterally ended the Gaza ceasefire agreement and resumed its aggression on the Strip on Tuesday, March 18, carrying out a wave of bloody airstrikes across the Strip and killing hundreds of Palestinians, including over 100 children.

The death toll reached at least 2,799 with 7,805 others wounded, according to medical sources.

The aggression was resumed amidst concerns over the deterioration of the humanitarian situation in the Strip given the ongoing siege and ban on the entry of medical and humanitarian aid.

Israel has waged a military onslaught on the Strip since October 2023, killing 53,010 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injuring 119,919 others.

Moreover, at least 10,000 people are unaccounted for, presumed dead under the rubble of their homes throughout the Strip.

The Israeli aggression has also resulted in the forceful displacement of nearly two million people from all over the Gaza Strip, with the vast majority of the displaced forced into the densely crowded southern city of Rafa'h near the border with Egypt – in what has become Palestine’s largest mass exodus since the 1948 Nakba.

Palestinian journalist A'hmed Anwar Al-'Hilu and his brother Mu'hammed were martyred on Thursday evening in an Israeli airstrike on the northwestern part of Khan Younus in the southern Gaza Strip.

The Quds news network mourned the journalist Al-'Hilu, who was killed while covering the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.

The Palestinian Government Media Office (PGMO) condemned the Israeli systematic assassination of Palestinian journalists, calling on the International Federation of Journalists, the Arab Journalists Union, and all press organizations around the world to condemn these systematic crimes against Palestinian journalists and media professionals in the Strip.

The statement held Israel, the US administration, and countries participating in the crime of genocide, such as the United Kingdom, Germany, and France, fully responsible for committing this heinous and brutal crime.

The martyrdom of Al-'Hilu, who was working in the design and editing department of the Quds News Network, brought the number of journalists who have been killed since the onset of the genocide in the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, to 217 martyrs, according to data published by PGMO.

Illegal Israeli settlers storm Bedouin community near Aree'ha (Jericho)

Aree'ha (Jericho), May 15, 2025 (WAFA) –

A group of the illegal Israeli csettlers ON Thursday evening stormed the Arab al-Mlaihat community, northwest of the occupied West Bank city of Aree'ha (Jericho), according to a local activist.

'Hasan Al-Mulai'hat, supervisor of Al-Baidar Organization in Defense of Bedouin Rights, said that colonists barged their way into the outskirts of the community and attacked a child while the latter was grazing his family’s sheep.

Mulai'hat added that the assailants fled the scene after Palestinians rushed to the rescue of the child shepherd and prevented the sheep from being stolen.

He considered that this assault was a part of the Israeli occupation's escalation against Bedouin communities to displace them and take over their land to make room for colonial expansion.

Earlier, a group of the illegal Israeli csettlers attacked Palestinian-registered vehicles near the entrance of the Tayba village, east of Ramallah, hurling stones at them.

According to the Applied Research Institute of Jerusalem (ARIJ), the 'Arab Al-Mulai'hat come originally from the Naqab; people of this area were forcefully expelled to live in different places of the West Bank due to their nomadic nature.  In the mid mid-eighties, people of Al-Mulai'hat were sent out from the Al-Irqa area to Maghair Al-Dair, which is only 7km away from it, claiming the area a military closed zone by Israel.

Colonists’ violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.

Colonists’ violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.

Approximately 1 million Israeli colonists are living in colonies in the West Bank and Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem) in violation of international law.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has reiterated his call for an immediate cessation of hostilities and unimpeded humanitarian access in the Gaza Strip on Wednesday.

At a news conference with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz in Berlin on Wednesday, Guterres emphasized that ending the war in Gaza is essential to paving the way for an irreversible path towards a two-state solution.

UNRWA: 90% of Gaza population forcibly displaced due to war

Thursday 15-May-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) reported Thursday that around 90% of Gaza residents have been forced to flee their homes since the onset of the war.

UNRWA said in a post on Twitter today that “in 1948, more than 700,000 Palestinians were displaced from their cities and villages. These events are known as the Nakba.”

“77 years later, Palestinians continue to be forcibly displaced”, it added, noting that “since the start of the war in Gaza, around 90% of the population has been forced to flee their homes. Some have been displaced 10 times or more.”

A few days ago, the UN sounded the alarm about using aid “as bait to force people to flee.”

UNICEF spokesman James Elder told reporters in Geneva that the only thing entering Gaza now “is bombs”, adding that “Using humanitarian aid as bait to force people to flee, especially from the north to the south, will create an impossible choice between displacement and death.”

“The situation represented “a profound moral breakdown, and no one will survive the price of this indifference”, he underscored.

Palestinians in the Gaza Strip are facing the longest blockade of aid and commercial supplies since the start of the war.

Since March 2, the Israeli army has prevented the entry of water and basic food supplies to the Gaza Strip after the closure of the crossings, causing a humanitarian catastrophe and exacerbating famine and thirst.

Egypt condemns ongoing Israeli attacks on Gaza, urges international accountability

CAIRO, May 15, 2025 (WAFA) –

The Arab Republic of Egypt has strongly condemned the continued horrific crimes committed by Israeli occupation forces against innocent and unarmed Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip, including targeted strikes on civilian and medical facilities.

In a statement issued Thursday evening by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Egypt warned of the severe consequences of these actions, which it said are a primary driver behind the persistent lack of security and stability in the Middle East.

The Egyptian government held Israel fully responsible for the ongoing violations of the most basic principles of international humanitarian law.

Egypt also emphasized the shared responsibility of the international community in confronting the ongoing injustice faced by the Palestinian people under occupation. The statement described these actions as fundamentally incompatible with all humanitarian values and objectives.

Reiterating its call for the implementation of accountability mechanisms, Egypt stressed the need to find effective measures to protect the Palestinian people, support their resilience, and restore their usurped rights. Such efforts, the statement concluded, are essential to preserving the credibility of the rules-based international order and preventing its collapse.

On 77th anniversary of Nakba, Arab League strongly condemns Israel for refusing to comply with Security Council resolutions

RAMALLAH, May 15, 2025 (WAFA) –

The Arab League strongly condemned Israel, the occupying power, for refusing to comply with Security Council resolutions calling for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and for the immediate and unconditional entry of humanitarian aid.

It also condemned Israel's refusal to comply with the International Court of Justice's orders for provisional measures to prevent the crime of genocide.

In a statement, on the 77th anniversary of the Nakba of the Palestinian people, the General Secretariat condemned Israel's aggressive war against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, which has been perpetrated by Israel for more than 585 days.

The League affirmed that the suffering of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and throughout the occupied Palestinian territory requires all free people in the world to defend the most just and humane cause, according to all standards and laws.

The Palestinian people have been subjected to acts of genocide, killing, displacement, and expulsion—a process of genocide and liquidation that is shocking to humanity. Millions of Palestinians have been transformed into refugees and internally displaced persons, both inside and outside their homeland, in a form of the most severe oppression and injustice that no people on earth has faced for centuries.

It explained that this anniversary comes amid the ongoing brutal war waged by Israel against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip for more than 19 months, which has claimed the lives of more than 200,000 people.

The entire two million residents of the Strip have been displaced, all necessities of life have been destroyed, humanitarian aid has been blocked, a deadly blockade has been imposed, and there has been a severe shortage of water, medicine, and food.

Editorial Notes about terms & names of people and places:

1. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules.

2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet.

3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel.

4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed.

5. It is more accurate to refer to the
land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists.

The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies.

In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain.

6. It is more accurate to use the verbs "abduct" and "kidnap" than the verbs "detain" and "arrest," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people.
